On July 7, 2022, volunteers Lee Teicholz, James Guertin and Warren
Levy spent the early morning hours washing and light sanding the
lettering on the historical marker making it more legible until
plans were made to have the marker professionally restored. It
made quite a difference after being subjected to the elements for
years.

On August 5, 2023, Tom Stelling, owner of HISTORICAL MARKERS RESTORATIONS begins the process to restore Danbury's historical marker.
A promotional banner was ordered and placed next to the historical marker prior to the start of the restoration process.
